List of auxiliary and output data files created by LCODE
In filenames, ***** is a time, and ?? is a character code.
- "perfb.?"
- Constructor file containing auto-formed beam with a low energy spread.
- "beamfile.bin"
- Contains information about beam macro-particles. This file is created during the first time step in the non-rigid beam mode.
The size of "beamfile.bin" is reduced as beam macro-particles disappear at walls or shift backwards outside of the simulation window.
- "fields.bin"
- Contains information about fields and currents as they are at the end of the simulation window.
This file is created at normal termination of the code.
- "plasma.bin"
- Contains information about plasma macro-particles as they are at the end of the simulation window.
This file is created at normal termination of the code (particle plasma model).
- "beamfile.bit"
- Contains the current time and serves as the indicator of the continuation mode.
If this file is present, the code tries to continue a previous run. If you want to start the run from zero time, delete "beamfile.bit".

- Output of electric field local extremums.
- "emaxf.dat"
- Output of electric field extremums.
- "hystog.dat"
- Normalization of output histograms.
